Atlantis: 'The Things' and Neanderthal Demise
"The first man was from earth, a man of dust. The second man is from heaven."
- I Corinthians 15:47-50
Ive heard many stories about genetic experiments gone wrong, animals and humans interbreeding and half human half beast 'monsters' which some say were around during the time of Atlantis. These are called 'The things' by Edgar Cayce in his intuitive information on Atlantean history. According to Cayce's interpretation of these events he describes how these 'beasts' were a problem because they had overrun the land and were attacking the advanced Atlanteans. This version of the events portrays the Atlanteans as quite innocent and from whereever these things or animals came from there isnt any real explanation for why they would bother attacking Atlantis or humans. Descriptions in Cayce's accounts then go on to describe the use of highly advanced destructive weapons which were used to 'dispose' of these beings.
Many people believe the many monsters of all world myths and legends which often exhibited a mixture various animals, creatures and humans originate from these lost historic times. Now im not disputing that possiblity but what if there was another explanation, one that didnt paint us humans or the Atlanteans as all sweetness and light?
This sentance in the book Edgar Cayce on Atlantis is what really made me question what or who were these 'things' and why were they such a threat.
"With the continued disregard of those who were keeping the pure race and pure peoples, man brought in destructive forces to be used by people that were rulers." - Edgar Cayce
Was it really that the Atlanteans wanted to mate with these monsters who were attacking them? Were these creatures really a threat or simply seen as sub humans and more animal than the superior Atlanteans? It just made me wonder if what the things or beast and man hybrids really were was actually the Neanderthals. They would be seen as more animal to them, we know now that they were around the same time modern man entered Europe, then they vanished.
Here is another interesting piece of info concerning the 'things' most people including perhaps Cayce himself seem to have written off as genetic freaks and negative beings.
"... individuals who were children of the Law of One- and some who were the children of Belial (In the early experience) - were served by automatons, or THINGS, that were retained by individuals or groups to do the labors of the household, or to cultivate the fields or the like, or to perform the activities of artisans." - Edgar Cayce
Sounds like slavery to me?... Although some interbreeding did take place a relatively small amount of their DNA is in ours. There are a few theories about what happened to these people but ive always had a feeling that humans may have killed off the Neanderthals. If this is true it would have been the very first war and genocide. It seems far too convenient that these people disappeared after we entered the area, they certainly didnt move somewhere else. I think it is possible they were wiped out, possibly a few escaping Atlantis and later being killed off by Atlanteans colonising of Europe.
These 'beast men' who buried their own dead and may have been highly sensitive and even telepathic would later be known as monsters. Some may ask why the need but if this form of original Earth man was used even in a small amount to upgrade by lets say an advanced off word ET race, would the newly created humans be happy sharing the planet with others? What would they feel about some of their own people mixing with these Neanderthals? We seem even today barely able to share a piece of land with another race or culture without trying to kill eachother.
